ROY MAURER

Doing “big thinking” to keep the firm just a step ahead
Roy has a rich and eclectic background spanning health, education, insurance, and financial services. Before joining The Clarion Group over 15 years ago, he combined a unique blend of psychological and spiritual development with experience as an executive with a Fortune 50 industry leader. With degrees in Psychology and Divinity, Roy initially worked in in-patient psychiatry, pursued spiritual development in monastic settings including in-depth training in what is now widely known as Mindfulness, and taught religion and psychology. After then returning to Yale for his MBA and completing his Chartered Financial Analyst designation, he was an executive with Aetna developing new strategic business opportunities in Investment Management and International Health.
